Started playing games back in the late 70s, and began my professional career in games journalism in 1992.
Worked on Sega Power until it eventually closed in 1998 and then went on to freelance for a large number of Future Publishing magazines.
I've stayed in publishing ever since then, working on a variety of titles – I edited both the Blockbuster in-store magazine and also the mag for Cineworld – and am now coming back to games journalism with the launch of SEGA Powered.
This week on The SEGA Lounge, KC sits down with Dean Mortlock, editor of the upcoming SEGA magazine SEGA Powered. The experienced games journalist talks about his life as a gamer, his time at classic 1990's mags, Sega Power and Saturn Powered, and starting a SEGA magazine in 2021.
