As Sonic's 30th anniversary approaches, we start our celebrations a week early by welcoming to the Lounge Dave Bulmer and Chris McFeely, hosts of Sonic the Comic the Podcast.

We're back with the second part of my chat with Renato Almeida. Not only do you get the conclusion of The SEGA Lounge Challenge but some fun stories about Renato's company and how he met SEGA's CEO.

This week's guest is none other than streamer and Sonic speedrunner, Argick. Listen to a chat where he shares his beginnings with video games and the speedrunning scene and finds out how much of a SEGA fan he really is.

Joining KC this week is the winner of RadioSEGA's Fan Choice Remix of the Year 2020 award, Alec 'Iceferno' Brooke. Iceferno shares his experiences with both video games and their music and uses all of his knowledge in a musical quiz.

This week, KC sits down with his long-time collaborator and friend, Manuel García Melgar, who's been working on art assets for The SEGA Lounge and RadioSEGA for several years now. Find out more about this incredibly talented SEGA fan.

This week, we're kicking off the GameBlast 21 festivities with a chat with Becky Frost, Community Events & Volunteer Coordinator, and Mark Saville, Communications Officer, both from SpecialEffect. They explain what this charity is, talk about GameBlast and tell us how you and I can help SpecialEffect on their quest to empower people. It's a great conversation and I couldn't be happier to have them on the show.

Ah... 2020... What a year! In more ways than one, a terrible year. Thankfully, we can always count on video games to offer some kind of escapism and therapy through troubled times. And boy did we all need that last year! Last week we looked at what I would like to think of as my way to bring some smiles and comfort into your life by way of this podcast. This week, I'm joined on the Lounge by the amazing Tom Campbell. Radio presenter, part of the Cultaholic Wrestling website and YouTube channel and, most importantly I'd say, Sonic the Hedgehog fan. As you probably know, everyone's favorite blue hedgehog is turning 30 next year and Tom decided a good way to celebrate that was to put together an audio documentary about the games, the cartoons, the comic books and the fans that make the blue blur such a beloved character. This has been one of the best times I ever had recording an interview and that's saying a lot so I do hope you enjoy getting to know the legend that is Tom Campbell.

This week, I'm thrilled to be joined by Scott Strichart, localization producer of the Yakuza series at SEGA of America. If you listened to our bonus summer episodes, you may remember a talk I had with Scott back in 2018 on another show, which you should definitely go listen to if you want even more detail into his video game experiences. This time, however, it was great to have him on for the full Lounge experience. Listen as he discusses working closely with RGG Studio and the process behind localizing Yakuza: Like a Dragon and much more. We'll also find out if he is indeed worthy of his Twitter bio title of "Patriarch of the Yakuza Localization Family" in another challenge that is not for the faint of heart.

This week, I’m joined on The SEGA Lounge by Riku Rose, chairman of The Tojo Dojo, a recent but great resource for all your Yakuza and Shenmue needs. Created earlier this year, it’s grown in support on social media and has been sharing memes and news related to, mostly, the Yakuza franchise. It was really nice to get to know Riku Rose and put his love for SEGA to the test in another hard as nails challenge.
